Problem Statement: Sometimes during our day to day life we delete (shift delete / Permanent delete) files / folders on our system which seems no longer required. But during this process we might have accidentally deleted some files which we needed and there is no way of getting it back... what do i do now??
Solution: You will find a bunch of tools on the internet which will promise to recover deleted items from the HDD. Most of them will show you the files that can be recovered but later will ask to buy a full version or licensed one to perform the task.
There is a nice utility (Freeware) which does your job quite easily; this tool even recovers your data if you have formatted your external HDD without taking a backup.
The tool is called Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva) and does the job quite easily. Get a copy of the tool from the website and install it on your system and perform the recovery, you need to take backup to another location and make sure you haven't written something to the deleted location (or formatted drive).
Hope this helps in your recovery.
